"Prayer is not asking. It is a longing of the soul. It is daily admission of one's weakness. It is better in prayer to have a heart without words than words without a heart."

— Mahatma Gandhi

As a Christian I believe that there is one God who revealed himself through his son Jesus. The Bible tells us in the book of Hebrews that because of Jesus Christ, who died on the cross for the sins of humanity, we can approach God’s throne with confidence. (see Hebrews 10:19ff)

  • Prayer is an act of submitting to God, admitting there is something greater than me, seeking His will in our life and in all the things we do. It is a direct connection to Gods heart and His will for our life. Through prayer we will get to know God better. It is in a place of silence before HIM that He reveals to us His thoughts, His dreams for our life and for the people around us.

Praying to God is active speaking and sharing your heart with God as much as it is being silent before Him and hearing from Him what He has to say. “What matters to you, God?” has become a question I ask myself daily, it helps me reflect and come before God intentionally through prayer.

“What matters to you, God?”

So many people want their will to be done, but if one believes that God exist and that HE is who HE says he is in the Bible, wouldn’t it be wise to think HIS thoughts, to dream HIS dreams and to do the things HE wants to be done?

In the Lords prayer we find this line which says: “Your kingdom come, your will be done. Here on earth as it is in heaven.

Ultimately, prayer is an act of faith. All we can do is encourage you, whether you have any faith yourself or not, to open your heart to God. He wants to meet you, be with you, teach you, and guide you on your journey through life and beyond.

Prayer is one way to stay connected to God. For us, it has become a crucial part of the foundation of our lives, and we wish the same for you, wherever this message finds you.

If you’ve never prayed before or don’t even know who God is, you’ll find a simple prayer at the bottom of this page that you can pray if you feel ready. Each of us once prayed a prayer like that for the first time, and it has changed our lives in ways we can hardly put into words.

God wants to partner with all of us in building a better world. We dare you to give Him a chance—He will not disappoint you!

We wish you all the best on your journey and pray that God’s peace becomes a constant presence in your life.

Peace be with you,

Tim & Dom

Pray this prayer:

“God, I don't know you yet. But I want to believe in you. Thank you that you love me.

Please reveal yourself to me in a way that only you can. I want to know you and life my life with you.

I invite you into my life.” - Amen
